For years I’ve been the person friends and family call when they start planning a vacation. I like finding the right fit and good value, and I like hearing how the trip went when they get home.

My kids and I have been to Disney almost every year for the last 14 years. I know what makes a family trip work for everyone, and I know how much can go sideways when nobody is watching the details.

Two Currents is how I do this for more people. I run it part-time and I’m growing it carefully, one family at a time.

Two Currents comes from the two kinds of travel I love most: the open water of a cruise and the cold, clear rivers of the mountains with a fly rod in hand. They’re very different trips, but they need the same thing: someone who handles the details and is there if plans change, so you can enjoy the water. The logo tells the same story, two rivers meeting below the peak.

I’ve spent more than 15 years in nursing. It taught me to plan for the details most people don’t think about until they matter: passport dates, travel protection, medications, mobility, dietary needs. It also taught me to stay calm and keep advocating when things don’t go to plan. That’s the same job I do for travelers.

• I listen first. Before I recommend anything, I learn who’s traveling, what you enjoy, and what you want to spend.
• I recommend what fits, not everything on the calendar.
• I’m honest about price. Sometimes a warehouse club or booking site has a lower number, and I’ll tell you why and what you’d give up.
• I’m here if plans change, before you go and while you’re away.
• I reply within 48 hours.

I am an independent travel agent affiliated with Atlas Coast Travel Group. Atlas Coast is my host agency. Your bookings run through its credentials and supplier relationships, including its membership in the Travel Leaders Network consortium, and your payments go directly to the cruise line or supplier. Cruise lines and suppliers pay my commission, so in most cases working with me costs you nothing extra.
